Red Stripe Lager.

Honestly, I have to say that this beer is among the best I've ever had.  It's a little lighter than most which find their way twixt my lips but, at the end of the day, it winds up being quite an enjoyable, somewhat basic little brew.  When you see someone on a low-budget TV show drinking from the white can simply labelled "BEER" I'd imagine it's contents would be a fairly close approximation of Red Stripe, and that's not really a bad thing.  Sometimes you just want a beer you can put away for a few hours at a stretch and that's where this little import really shines.

It comes out of the can with a minimum of fuss and, although a little more carbonated than most, it's not overly so: Instead of waltzing into the hall in an $800 gown covered in jewelry, it slips in quietly and says "Hey" to a couple people along the way.  It continues it's journey down the tongue with a nice, smooth sensation featuring just the right mixture of grainy and sweet. It hits the dance floor and slides down the throat with a natural ease and agility, then slips out the back door by the DJ and you won't even realize it's gone, but you definately know it was there.

From the crack of the can to the last mouthful you're in for a good, honest little drink that doesn't try to be anything it's not and you'll walk away from the experience with a satisfied little grin and an accepting nod of the head.
